Lake Garda: winery tour with tasting in Bardolino
During this food and wine experience, you will have the opportunity to discover the fascinating history of the winery and all the secrets surrounding the techniques and particularities of producing these wines, which are among the best known and appreciated in the world for the quality of the grapes used and the love that the producers put into the process. You will also discover why the Bardolino area is famous for its use of ceramic barrels for aging, and the characteristics of the local grapes, which, thanks to blends that have been studied and measured in detail, give the local wines their unmistakable flavor.
The production of these excellent wines is made possible above all by the composition of the soil, which is treated and cultivated using the most modern methods in terms of sustainability, while at the same time respecting tradition.
During this journey of discovery of the food and wine world of the Veronese shore of Lake Garda, you will be guided through the unmistakable characteristics of these sublime products.
The experience begins with a tour of the winery, where you will see all the processes involved in the creation of these excellent products. It begins with the harvesting of the grapes, their processing and bottling, and ends with the riot of flavors that will be unleashed during the tasting. Next, you will take part in a wine tasting where four of the most important labels will be tasted, including two red and two white wines. During the tasting, an expert will explain to you in detail all the characteristics of each of these products. The tasting of the four wines will be accompanied by a platter of zero-mile charcuterie and cheeses, produced using traditional methods.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Red Wine Dritto & Calis
During the experience you will taste two red wines. Specifically, you will taste the Dritto, Bardolino classico, made from local grapes according to traditional methods, and the Calis, a red wine derived from the French Cabernet grape variant but which has built its story on the shores of Lake Garda, thus creating a unique mix between neighboring territories.
White Wine Biso & Glacies
After the red wines, you will also taste two white wines that are very distinctive in their aromatic notes and the senses they activate. Biso is a light pink, slightly cloudy white wine made with indigenous grapes and methods, which both on the nose and on the palate will evoke citrus notes, almost grapefruit, a very distinctive detail of this wine. The rolling moraine hills of this area are also capable of giving birth to other varieties such as Glacies, which originates from the berries of the French Pinot Blanc, thus from international grapes that, however, find this moraine territory to be ideal for their cultivation. Indeed, this territorial characteristic makes the wine structured and mineral-flavored, creating a still white wine of the highest quality.
Food (charcuterie board of local products)
The tasting of the four wines will be accompanied by a board with some local products, such as bread sprinkled with extra virgin olive oil produced by the winery itself, as well as cold cuts and cheeses from small local producers.
This mix of flavors will make you experience the true essence of the place you are in, taking you back to the origins and local tradition, while also discovering the best accompaniments for the wines being tasted.
